The solution also enables the user to create formulas for calculating all production planning and cost estimate data for specific tools, even if the tool is changed. Each tool and tool assignment information can be linked with depreciation data.

COSMO Process Manufacturing incorporates the maintenance module designed for the monitoring and delivering of maintenance orders. It enables the user to create maintenance templates and define work periods. Maintenance orders are generated automatically, but it is possible to create ad-hoc tasks if needed. Maintenance schedules specify the required time and material consumption and external resources to be used. By using available overviews, absence periods can be included in production schedules.

Planning setup can be customized by the user depending on their needs.

With the integrated sequencer tool, the user can reduce the setup time, thus optimize the usage of the production processes and standardize the process structures. The overview of orders linked to processes or departments enables users to quickly identify potential issues, such as the use of incorrect raw materials or equipment. Such control mechanisms ensure optimal production planning aligned with specified due dates, while also minimizing inventory levels.

The program can assign a lot number automatically based on pre-defined rules. Additionally, in the production, replenishment and packing processes, the user can create new lots based on the existing ones. The lot and serial number features also support the process of bottling and cutting end products.
You can also assign selected packaging and storage equipment to each shipment. Additionally, the application provides the integrated rent bin function for tracing the bin status, location and demand.

Each product can be assigned any status and this status can be changed. For each product status, you can select actions such as shipment to the customer or production usage. Blocked products can be excluded when calculating the requisition.
For each process stage, a template including questions and typical answers can be integrated.

Templates are also used as checklists and for creating documentation for standard tests. Moreover, the program enables the user to define minimum and maximum limit measurement values that are used as a reference for test results. Result overviews are displayed in reports.

The quality management module enables full integration of advanced features that facilitate the management of tools and testing methods, automatic creation of test schedules for individual products or vendors, as well as vendor evaluation.

With the navigation feature available in the central information window, you can access the required information in the system and navigate to related documents. The lot tracking functionality can be used to view production and supply chains in order to identify customers for a selected lot and vendors for selected raw materials.

Multiple product structures can be displayed for individual products. Replenishing and re-filling orders are created automatically or by specified departments. As part of container management, lots can be allocated with precision down to the adopted unit or even its fraction.

Lots and bins are assigned a pre-defined status indicating if they have been blocked or released. It is also possible to select all items that need to be inspected because their expiration date is in three months.

The process of managing machines, tools, and materials involves assigning employees to work on specific machines and with specific materials. Employee assignment should be based on their qualifications. During the creation of a production order, the system compares the skills required with the skill of employees working on the specific shift.

COSMO Process Manufacturing enables detailed planning based on initial assumptions. With a wide selection of overviews, it is possible to identify potential issues and initiate preventive actions.

The planning worksheet is a matrix that displays the production order overview with machines used and lead times. By using the drill-down function in a statement, you can access related information about orders. From the production department overview, it is possible to view machine overload per day, week or year as percentage or hourly values or as unused capacity. The overview of setup times shows the number of employees required for the setup process.

In addition to the production planning functionality, COSMO Process Manufacturing includes customizable spreadsheet templates that users can modify according to their needs. Users can also specify which values will be adjusted and determine whether percentage-based or fixed cost rates should be applied by default in calculations. This enables cost optimization based on factors such as the product, customer and machines used.

During sequence and schedule planning, the user can access information about the availability of materials and potential actions in case of shortages.

COSMO Process Manufacturing includes a range of features that enable the configuration of product structures, formulas, part lists, and order schedules. Depending on the manufacturing technology, the system requires specific data to be entered. It is possible to create item variants based on lot sizes and packaging types.

Recipe parameters can be saved as percentages or fractions. When new components are added to the recipe, the system automatically performs recalculations. In addition to recipes, bill of materials can be used, which are particularly useful in processes such as packing or bottling. These tools provide complete visibility into the production process.

Each cycle can be created by assigning specific operations that use selected raw materials and tools. The transition time and setup time can be defined in the application independently of the production schedule. It applies to fixed lead times which are usually defined e.g. for stirrers and dryers.
